Ryanair and TUI Fly Belgium to Launch New Morocco-Spain Routes for Summer 2026

Two budget carriers are moving to expand air connectivity between Morocco and Spain ahead of next summer, with new direct routes and increased frequencies targeting growing demand from tourists, business travelers, and the Moroccan diaspora.

Ryanair will launch a new direct route between Valencia and Rabat, operating twice weekly throughout the summer season, as part of a broader effort to strengthen air links between the two countries. The Irish low-cost carrier is also set to increase frequencies on its existing Valencia-Tangier service, reflecting sustained demand for connections to northern Morocco.

Both routes are part of Ryanair’s summer 2026 program out of Valencia airport, which covers 59 destinations and 336 weekly flights — a roughly two percent increase compared to the previous season. Alejandra Ruiz, Ryanair’s spokesperson in Spain, said the program gives travelers more destination choices at competitive fares. Bookings are already open, with flights scheduled through October.

TUI Fly Belgium, meanwhile, will resume operations in the Spanish market with a new direct route between Casablanca and Barcelona. The service will run from July 2 to August 31, 2026, with two weekly departures on Thursdays and Sundays, and may be extended to September 7 depending on demand.

The airline said the route is aimed primarily at leisure travelers and members of the Moroccan community based in Spain, particularly in Catalonia. Whether the Casablanca-Barcelona service continues beyond summer 2026 will depend on how the market responds during its initial run.
